How I Remember You
I remember many things
about the day you were born,
I remember you placed
in my arms so small and so warm,
Just a little bit of
nothing as there, you laid in my arms you laid,
5 lbs 10 oz was all that
you weighed,
I could not believe the
beautiful little boy we had made,
I remember the day you
were born was the highlight of my life,
Never would anything
compare to my feelings that day,
I vowed to protect you
to my dying breath, come whatever may,
I carried you around
like a football in my arm,
From my elbow to my wrist
was all the length you had as I put your tiny feet within
